Introduction

There is a group of values, attitudes, and intellectual and behavioral skills that constitute capabilities that should be available with all individuals irrespective of their career paths, because they are deemed vital in order for the individual to be an effective member in any organization and at any level. Yet, they are crucial for the success and happiness of the individual in the different life aspects. Therefore, they actually represent the common denominator between the successful individuals in their practical lives and those who deserved to be called professionals.

Therefore, such group of capabilities has been identified to be “the professional values and skills” within the basic capabilities system that is to be addressed through many curricula, and we would cover one of them under the title “Tasks Planning and Time Management”. The unit aims to enhance the recognition of the trainees of the value of time in the success of the individual career, success of organizations, value of planning and organization as a pivotal for the successful time management, and development of the required understanding of the different types of tasks, and how to plan for them, and providing the training with the practical means that would enable them to effectively manage their time.

The curriculum encapsulates two main chapters:

Chapter One: Tasks Planning This chapter aims to define all types and classifications of the different tasks, importance of task planning, and how to plan tasks. The chapter also explores how to plan the agenda of the manager in work, meetings held at the level of the organization, and the procedures necessary for scheduling the business trips, and how to prepare the letters of the manager, and some other types of planning as well.

Chapter Two: Time Management: This chapter discusses the main features of time, types of time, and the aim that we seek to achieve through the proper time management and the causes that may lead to time waste, and lastly, the advices that should be followed for the sake of the effective time management.
