It goes without saying too that the entrance of human being into the age of globalization and information technology has lead to many of our modern problems that might be faced by the societies in a time that sees dramatic changes in the different life aspects. Developing the skills of problem solving and managerial decision making was and is still a major goal of the leader development, particularly when we talk about developing the administrative leaders and nurturing the ace leaders in a time of rapid changes in different walks of life.
Therefore, nurturing those leaders has become mandatory for creating a generation capable of coping with the scientific progress and the huge knowledge in the different aspects of life. Problem analysis process and the decision making are considered as combined management process, as it takes into consideration the decision making environment and the prediction of obstacles and problems that might limit the efficacy of the managerial decision. Therefore, the decision maker should take into consideration the problems that might face them, and analyze them and avoid or solve them. Generally speaking, the individuals in organizations take decisions to choose from amongst a host of alternatives. Decisions are not limited only to the managers, since the rest of individuals in the organizations do take decisions as well that might impact the business of the organizations they work in.
Problems surface in any of elements of the managerial process that require from the manager or the leader the ability to solve the problem and take sound decisions. And in this context, we better get acquainted with the process of problem solving and decision making.
