Introduction
Changes take us by scruff like the horrendous and wild waves in the sea; some who challenged such waves got engulfed, however, the other who surfed the wave and used it to their benefits became a part of the change. There is no longer any let up for taking a break or catching a breath. Accordingly, we should learn how to deal with such changes and subjugate them to our service. You must have seen changes, whether from far or near, in your house or work, or maybe in your own self. You would be subject to change, willy you, nilly you! The problem doesn’t reside in changes unfolding. Problem, however, rests in how to respond and deal with such changes, and this what is called the skills of engaging with change. And this would certainly require your commitment to changing yourself and those working with you in hopes for possessing the effective tools for dealing with the continuous development and change in all aspects of life.
There’s no doubt that the continuous development and progress facing the organizations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly the educational ones, outpace the Saudi organizations to face their surrounding circumstances. We live in the world of revolution of knowledge and information, which has in turn generated a multitude of psychological, technological, economic, and social problems. Quick and highly flexible solutions were immediately needed to encounter those problems. If the growth with its administrative, economic, social and political facets is a high priority goal all countries seek to gain, the field of administrative development is considered as one of the most crucial vehicles that would serve to achieve this goal; the administrative development is considered as the springboard upon which in particular all administrative development plans will be based. Such plans would in turn cement the success, effective and efficient management of the developmental efforts in the other fields, whether economic, social or other fields.
It’s intuitive that the main driver of the administrative development is the human being (human resources) for any organization. Therefore, all human resources in the organization should benefit from the development efforts. In addition, the organization should as well take it upon themselves to develop the employees because employees are its only main exit, and the development is the core of work.
